[Special order] Kurume Kasuri fabric was used in the refurbishment of guest rooms at Taisenkaku, a long-established inn in Fukuoka's Haratsuru Onsen.

The craftsmen measure the size of each piece and then attach the Kurume Kasuri fabric to the board.



Using surveying equipment, we put the pieces together like a puzzle, with precise precision.
By the way, the Kurume Kasuri fabric used this time was chosen with patterns that have meanings such as "longevity" and "prosperity of descendants," and explanatory panels were also created, so I'm sure you will enjoy it during your stay.



Once all the panels are attached, all that's left is some fine tuning.
The lighting from below makes the kasuri fabric stand out in a fantastical way.



Finally, we brought in beds, sofas, and other furniture to complete the room renovation!
The Kurume Kasuri fabric creates a rich Japanese atmosphere. Guests can relax in a luxurious space where they can simultaneously enjoy the beauty of Kurume Kasuri and the healing effects of Haratsuru Onsen.



Moving on to another room.
This room is home to a mix of fabrics from Hinome Studio, which produces Amagi Shibori , another dyeing technique representative of Fukuoka, and patchwork fabrics made from Kurume Kasuri fabrics cultivated by the Giemon brand.
Our Kurume Kasuri section consists of red patchwork and blue-green patchwork panels.





This place also had a Japanese atmosphere and gave the impression of being a relaxing and soothing space.
