For textiles, preparation is required when setting up the warp threads.
It's been almost 20 years since I started working with Kasuri.
Now I'm starting to realize how important warp, thread count and density are.
"Stand up" means what color to use for each warp thread, what thread count to use,
It is to be formed by design with various thoughts such as how much density should be used.
This time, it's multi-colored and multi-colored, with the color scheme of the fall 2015 theme coloring.
I also used a thick thread, and chose a thread that gives a rough feeling.
This is important because the final weave will change depending on the color and number of each piece.
While the weft threads are woven in a color scheme that matches the warp threads,
It's like matching colors through trial and error while searching.
It's fun to try different colors as samples.
This is where the weaver's sense and experience show off.
It will appear around autumn this year, so please look forward to it.
