Giemon Kurume Main Store is scheduled to hold a 40th anniversary event from November 8th (Wednesday) to November 16th (Thursday), 2023.
To coincide with the event, we are currently having Yamamura Kasuri Kobo weave a special 40th anniversary pattern.
We would like to introduce another color of "Memory" that we introduced last time.
The thread used is the same color as the one introduced last time.
The difference is the staining.
When dyeing, the pattern, which would normally appear white, was dyed a vivid orange, creating a pop impression with a contrast between navy blue and orange.
After untying the knot, cover the whole thing with orange,
Both the warp and weft are dyed twice, which is a labor-intensive process.
Because the whole thing is covered in orange,
There is a sense of unity between the pattern part and the ground part.
Next time, we will introduce another limited edition pattern "Passion flower".
